Mission Statement:
“To provide world class chiropractic care and services to the families of our community thereby enabling them to Live Life Fully”

Our approach is simple. We believe that health is among our most valuable possessions. And while we generally meet people after they’ve lost their health, our commitment is two-fold:

1. Relief Care
When many people seek care in our office they have one goal: relief. So that’s where we start! During this initial stage of intensive care, we have several obligations:

  • Uncover the underlying cause of the health problem

  • Suggest a care plan to produce the fastest results possible

  • Offer ways patients can participate in their recovery

  • Explain the value of post-symptomatic wellness care

2. Wellness Care
We encourage our patients to achieve the highest levels of health they can. Through educational opportunities (like this website), we hope to communicate the value of ongoing chiropractic care. Our desire is to see our practice members abandon the prevailing sickness care model of health (waiting for symptoms and then taking action), in favor of a more pro-active wellness model.

Brief Paperwork

Please arrive 20-30 minutes before your scheduled appointment to fill out our health history forms or you may download and print your forms off of our website and bring them with you.

You will be guided to an exam room by one of our Chiropractic Assistants where you will have a consultation with our Doctors discuss the reason for your visit and any health goals. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have as well.

At this point we will run a series of checks to determine balance in the structure of the body through our posture and foot arch evaluations as well as assessing the stress and balance in the nerve system. These tests are painless and include surface electromyography, thermography, heart rate variability (which is an indicator of your ability to adapt to stress) as well as your range of motion, palpation of motion in your spine and reflexes. We will get your % oxygenation in your blood, blood pressure and heart rate to get a glimpse of your cardiovascular health. We take a posture picture and a picture of how your arches are supporting your through our state-of-the-art Footleveler’s 3 Dimensional Arch Scanner. Our goal is to determine if your case can be helped through chiropractic care. In many cases we will send you for x-rays, please let the Dr. know if you have already had x-rays taken.

Once we finish the examination the Doctor will determine whether you can receive your first treatment of if other tests must be done. This usually includes other imaging such as X-ray or MRI.

Finally, you will be scheduled for a Report of Findings where the Dr. will explain what was found in your examination and customize a treatment plan suited for you. Your first visit will take approximately 45 minutes in total.

Services & Techniques

Chiropractic solutions for the entire family…

At Watson Family Chiropractic, we realize the importance of Chiropractic care throughout life. That’s why we see the whole family — from mothers-to-be, babies, children, teens and adults. Since no patient is the same, we offer specialized and common chiropractic techniques to suit the individual.

Chiropractic Techniques

Flexion Distraction tables
We love our new Flexion-Distraction tables. They help the spine to relax and stretch and are well-suited for patients who need a lighter touch, such as those with osteoporosis or are at an advanced age. Pressure is applied to specific areas to relieve nerve pressure, restore range of motion and realign the spine. This is usually a very gentle experience for our patients.

Activator Technique
This technique involves using a gentle spring loaded adjusting instrument. It is a very gentle technique that can be used on all ages. It is most often used on infants, the older patients, and the smaller joints of the jaw, wrist, ankles and feet.

Applied Kinesiology
Applied kinesiology is used to learn the functional status of your body by combining manual muscle testing with diagnostic methods to evaluate your structural, chemical, and mental aspects of health. Please visit the International College of Applied Kinesiology for more information at

Arthrostim Instrument Adjusting
Our Doctors have special training in the use of the Arthrostim, a chiropractic adjusting instrument designed to introduce a vibratory force to the body to correct spinal misalignments and subluxations without the “popping and cracking” sound.

Diversified Technique
This technique is one of the most commonly used of all chiropractic techniques. It uses a high-velocity, low amplitude thrust that usually results in a cavitation or “popping sound“ in a joint and can be used to treat many of the joints of the body.

OTZ Technique- frozen Shoulder Treatment
This technique is a unique analysis and manipulation of the joint between the occiput and the first cervical vertebrae. The analysis and technique was developed in 2006 by Dr. Francis X. Murphy, DC of Dallas, Texas. Dr. Murphy discovered this misalignment of the occiput can cause an alteration in the normal curve of the neck keeping the head unnaturally forward. This postural alteration causes a tethering to the brainstem (adhesion) at the top of the neck which, in turn, restricts blood supply and tension to the 11th Cranial Nerve (Spinal Accessory Nerve) in the neck. This interferes with the patient’s ability to raise their arm thus creating specific types of Frozen Shoulder Syndrome (FSS). ref:

Extremity Adjusting
This is the application of chiropractic adjustments to joints other than those of the spine, such as the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, finger, hip, knee, ankle, foot or toe.

Interferential Therapy
This therapeutic device sends electrical impulses to the nerve and muscle using pads that conduct the impulses though the skin. This low frequency stimulation prompts the body to secrete endorphins and other natural pain killers to help relieve pain. We use this to help increase circulation and decrease pain and muscle spasms. With this therapy you will feel a very light tingling sensation where the pads are placed.

Koren Specific Technique is a newer method of chiropractic treatment. It is a unique system of analysis that is used with the Arthrostim instrument to effectively correct distortions of the spine and nervous system to allow true healing to occur. Drs. Marcia and Kevin love the results achieved with this new technique on patients young and old.

Laser Therapy
Low intensity cold laser therapy is a treatment we use for soft tissue injuries as a way to help stimulate healing. It is very useful in musculoskeletal issues and alleviates chronic or acute pain.

Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave Therapy applies an acoustic wave that carries high energy to painful areas of muscle and tendon tissue. This energy promotes regeneration and reparative processes of the ligaments, tendons and other soft tissues. Shockwave is used for chronic and subacute conditions. It promotes vascularization, reverses chronic inflammation, and stimulates collagen production. Common uses are for: tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, frozen shoulder, jumper’s knee, Achilles tendonitis, chronic knee pain, plantar fasciitis, hip pain, calcification, and tendonitis,

Thompson Technique
This is a specific chiropractic method that uses a special table with segments called drop pieces. These pieces are elevated slightly and gently drop when the thrusts are given. This helps minimize the force needed to deliver the chiropractic adjustment and the “popping sound“ of the joint usually does not occur.

Drs. Marcia and Kevin have been trained in the Trigenics Myo-neural Technique (link) which involves resetting the way the brain communicates with muscles in the body using specific contacts points, muscle actions and controlled breathing. This manual therapy is complimentary to chiropractic and allows for deeper muscle release without the pain associated with other manual muscle treatments.

Webster Technique
Dr. Marcia Watson is specially trained through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) to perform the Webster Technique (link) is used to balance the pelvis thus allowing optimal fetal positioning and therefore a safer labor and delivery for Mom and baby.

Specialized Care and Programs

Acupuncture is based on harmony of the mind, body and spirit. Drs. Marcia and Kevin utilize acupuncture to better balance the body’s energy (or Qi) and restore health in combination with chiropractic treatments.

Children’s Care
As children grow, their bumps and bruises can have long-lasting effects. Drs. Marcia and Kevin a realize the importance of good spinal balance and alignment at a young age. We know that nerve interference can occur without pain and which can negatively influence with the health of the child. That’s why they perform a thorough child’s examination including a painless thermographic scan of the autonomic nerve system, posture, balance and coordination and evaluate the developing arches in the feet. Dr. Marcia has completed special training in Pediatric Chiropractic to give her little patients extra care and attention.
Common childhood disorders we see are persistent earaches, sore throats, colic, headaches, bed-wetting and growing pains. Our techniques are very gentle and we are experienced treating “little” patients. A child is never too young to receive Chiropractic care. Please visit the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association at for more information on children and chiropractic.

Pregnancy Care
Drs. Marcia and Kevin take a special interest in caring for pregnant women and those who are trying to conceive. During pregnancy it is important to ensure there is no nerve interference and to keep the spine and pelvis in good balance to ensure a healthy delivery. Our Doctors utilize the Webster Technique (link) which has proven to be an excellent technique for balancing the pelvis for delivery. They will customize a program to keep you in balance while you go through your pregnancy. Our office utilizes special treatment tables that accommodate a “blossoming belly” during your gentle chiropractic adjustment. Healthy Moms deliver healthy babies.

Detoxification and Food Sensitivities
Many of us suffer chronic pain, headaches and other health issues from our environment, poor eating habits and nutritional deficiencies or food intolerances. For more information on some our laboratory testing procedures we use in our office, visit Rocky Mountain Analytical at

Foot Orthotics
Your feet and your arches are like a shock absorber for your body. When you have flat feet or fallen arches, you can feel pain in your foot, knee, leg, hip or lower back. If there is a foot issue we will fit you for a customized orthotic which can fit into your shoes or boots. Our Footleveler`s state-of-the-art foot bed scanner will tell the Doctors exactly where your arches are carrying your weight so they may evaluate your need for arch support. For more information on Footleveler`s Inc. orthotics visit

Nutritional and Dietary Support Programs.
Drs. Marcia and Kevin also utilize nutritional supplementation and homeopathic formulas to support. See our product list to get more information on what we have found to be our best products.
