Mainstreet Chiropractic New Patients And What to ExpectYour First Visit

Brief Paperwork
Please arrive 15-20 minutes before your scheduled appointment to fill out our health history forms or you may download and print your forms off of our website and bring them with you.

You will be guided to an exam room by one of our Chiropractic Assistants where you will have a consultation with Dr. Watson discuss the reason for your visit and any health goals. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have as well.

At this point we will run a series of checks to determine balance in the structure of the body through our posture and foot arch evaluations as well as assessing the stress and balance in the nerve system. These tests are painless and include surface electromyography (link), thermography (link), heart rate variability (which is an indicator of your ability to adapt to stress) as well as your range of motion, palpation of motion in your spine and reflexes. We will get your % oxygenation in your blood, blood pressure and heart rate to get a glimpse of your cardiovascular health. We take a posture picture and a picture of how your arches are supporting your through our state of the art Footleveler’s 3 Dimensional Arch Scanner. Our goal is to determine if your case can be helped through chiropractic care. In many cases we will send you for x-rays, please let Dr. Watson know if you have already had x-rays taken.

Once we finish the examination the Doctor will determine whether you can receive your first treatment of if other tests must be done. This usually includes other imaging such as X-ray or MRI.

Finally, you will be scheduled for a Report of Findings where Dr. Watson will explain what was found in your examination and customize a treatment plan suited for you.

Your first visit will take approximately 45 minutes in total.
